4. What challenges do the characters face upon their arrival?
"I heard the that the soldiers are already on their way to get the rebels out of the mining areas."
Answers: I feel that the characters in the book go through so much with the rebels because there always on the look out and the rebels have destroyed so much that there is nothing to cling on to, and or love. If there was they still wouldn't do to the fact that the devastation of the first wave of attacks that have wiped out a lot of the population in the villages.

" We slept in an abandoned villages, where we lay on the bare ground and hoped that the following bay we would be able to find something other than raw cassava."

ReplyDeleteResponse 2: Ishmael was forced to live in abandoned villages due to the strong rebels presence. His diet consisted of cassava roots. However, I believe Ishmael would trade anything for the comfort of of being surrounded by his family.
Question 2: What do you think you would have done in these situations?
Answer: I don't I would have change anything different then what Ishmael did. If anyone who was faced with this situation of running from the rebels they would go in t that survivor mode and do what was necessary to stay alive. I'm sure military members stations in hostile countries today are faced with those situations on a daily bases.
